It's a beautiful Christmas Day here in Wisconsin. The ham is in the oven, gifts are waiting to be opened, and we are feasting on breakfast goodies as I write.
They were anonymous gifts from a member of our church family. The packages contained two small plastic cars. That's all they were. Most families probably would have given them away or thrown them out. But we will never forget it. They were the only gifts our children got that year. It's amazing how some things effect you. They get under your skin, into your heart, absorbed into the depths of your being, and never will be forgotten. This was one of those things. Sometimes, we get so caught up in our problems, we forget that there is always someone more needy than we are. Keep Christ in Christmas, don't ever forget. You could be that needy person some day.
