We are getting hit with a major snow storm here. We have 18" and it's still coming down. Our power has gone off a couple of times, so we are staying close to the candles and fireplace. It sure feels like Christmas now! I haven't been able to get to the store to finish my shopping, I suppose it will have to wait. I thought I would share some pictures of the snow here, just so those who don't have snow get a taste of it.
My day started by waking up to a white outdoors. Really white. My kids, fortunately, love to shovel. They donned their Ninja snow gear for the occasion.
Along with the shoveling, comes the monkey business. I'd say they did about 90% monkeying around, and about 10% actual shoveling.
They had a marvelous time. Even home schoolers take a snow day once in a while. I decided to go for a walk and explore the neighborhood.
I love it when the snow sticks to the trees.
No mail today.
My wreaths look even more rustic with snow. Why didn't I think of that sooner?
The kids made themselves quite a snow fort. It easily fits 3.
Where do all the little birds go during a storm like this?
Happy Snow Day!
