These books are absolute treasures! I read them when I was a kid. Our family studied them with our co-op group (along with Beautiful Feet Literature Guide and Maps).They are appropriate for grade school children and your kids will love them!
They have the most beautiful artwork. Holling is a Caldecott Honor award winner. This study series has also won a Homeschool Award for several different core subjects in 2012.
They are classic books originally published in the 1940's. "Paddle" is my favorite character. He is a little hand carved man in a boat that gets set on snow bank in Canada and when the snow melts, he drifts all the way through the Great Lakes and into the Saint Lawrence Seaway. It's such a sweet story!

I'd love these! I have Paddle to the Sea, but not the other two. I would gladly share the one I have with a homeschooling friend. Now I'm torn...do I share this giveaway? Or do I hope that no one else enters so that I win? Hummmm

DeleteI love these books and have used both in the past with the exception of Paddle to the Sea! But I don't own them anymore. I am planning to do a Tree in the Trail unit soon. I would totally love to get Paddle to the Sea and the others, I used Minn with my two older kids but haven't used it with my 4th grader. But he has done units on Pagoo and Seabird!These books are great for geography. Excellent giveaway. I will so pass this on:)

DeleteThis remind me of the books my Grandmother had from my father's childhood. The illustrations are beautiful!
