Nutella Day 2: French Toast

What's your favorite breakfast food? I have so many of them. Breakfast is by far our favorite meal of the day. We especially love French Toast, which is easy to make, but we have recently discovered the addition of Nutella to this old favorite.

So, here's what you need:

I use Almond Milk, eggs, bread, vanilla, butter in addition to the Nutella. You can use regular milk, however, I like the protein the Almond milk provides, it just seems to give it a richer flavor.

I use one egg and 1/4 cup of milk per person, so for this receipe I used 6 eggs and 1 1/2 cups milk. Whisk them in a bowl along with 1 tsp. vanilla.

Add your slices of bread one by one. I prefer to dip them in and out quickly and throw them on a hot griddle  that has been greased with a bit of butter.

They don't take long to become golden brown, perhaps 3-4 minutes on each side.

While they are still warm spread the Nutella between the layers. It will melt slightly, this is the best part.

Add a drizzle of maple syrup (or you can make your own, see my recipe on my former post on how to do this http://designerssweetspot.blogspot.com/2012/03/whats-for-breakfast.html),

A few blue berries, and a spray of whip cream. My husband claims it's the closest thing he has ever had to a chocolate eclair. Fabulous!
