Hello All! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. I am finally back in the saddle after several days of various types of frustration and not being able to accomplishing all my projects. I plan to make up for lost time this week, and I will not sleep until I have my mission accomplished!
I loved the above Burlap Wreath from Pintrest. Simple and beautiful. I picked up my supplies from Micheal's Craft Store, and I could have sworn I took a picture of them, but do you think I could find it? Of course not. Anyway, I purchased an 18" wire wreath form and a roll of 4" wide burlap which contained something like ten yards of material. The total cost of the supplies ran about $10.00.
The only problem was that my wreath form was too big, and I ran out of burlap about half way around. I think if you used a 12" form, you would be able to complete it with one roll of burlap. The project itself was very simple to do. The burlap was easy to weave in and out of the form and fluff to make it look like the original picture, it only took me a few minutes and was rather fun. Then decided I was not about to run all the way to the other side of town and buy more burlap. So I elected to cut up some printed burlap that I had left over from another project and weave it into the wreath.
I like the rustic look of the burlap, and I actually really like the print and solid burlap together. It seems to work well with my rocky fireplace.
This would also make a great holiday gift for people. Hummm, tons of potential! All for now, on to the next project!
