We love games at our house. We have a big closet devoted to games, and frequently spend winter evenings over a game of Scrabble, Dominoes, Worst Case Scenario, or Yuker. I loved these little coasters on Pintrest:
So clever. However, I could not find a Scrabble game at a thrift store, and I certainly wasn't going to break up ours since we love it and pay it often. But I did find a spare wooden Domino game just sitting around our place.
I also found some of my favorite craft glue. Then I happened to see some ugly little coasters at the thrift store. I bought a package of 6 for $.60.
The thrift store coasters were made of some woven grassy material. I could just see my kids using them as Frisbees in the Man Cave where we watch TV. They definitely weren't sturdy enough for any practical use.
We trimmed them down slightly to accommodate the size of the Dominoes. Then we glued the Dominoes on top.
My kids had fun helping me with this project.
Who knew coasters could be so much fun?
