I love the taste of loose tea. Somehow it has a richer flavor than tea in tea bags. I have even read that the paper type material in tea bags may not be that good for you. I have a tea pot for loose tea, but sometimes I don't want to make a whole pot. I've tried little tea infusers, but they don't hold much and therefore the tea tastes weak to me. What to do?
I got this nifty little gizmo for a gift. It's call ingenuiTEA, and it's a tea infuser big enough for an entire cup of tea.
It's made of pba-free plastic. A very simple concept, rather like the old fashioned coffee mugs that brewed one cup of coffee at a time. Remember those? Never mind. Anyway, here's how it works.
You add the desired amount of loose tea, I use two heaping teaspoons per cup.
Cover with hot water, and allow to steep for 5 minutes.
The pot is designed to hold the water until it's ready to serve...................
when you set it on top of the cup, the tea is released into the cup. Very clever, eh?
In case you were wondering, my favorite place to buy loose tea is the Republic of Tea company, read more about this great product. You'll love it!
You can purchase the Adagio Teas ingenuiTEA Teapot on Amazon for $20.79. Is there anything that they don't have?
