One of our friends is a Pastor, and he used this story in one of his sermons. It is one of my favorites.
I was living in southern California, working as a youth Pastor for a church there. One day we went to a local flea market to do some shopping. I stopped to look at some jewelry that one of the vendors was selling. They were selling little crosses with Jesus on them.
"I'll take one of your crosses." I told the vendor.
"All right. Do you want a plain one, or one one with the little guy on it?" she replied. Immediately I was intrigued by her response.
"Do you know who that little guy is?" I asked.
"No, I don't have any idea who he is." The girl responded.
Not to miss an opportunity, I replied, "That little guy is Jesus Christ. He died on the cross to save you from your sins."
Do you know who that little guy is who died on the cross for you?
