Bedroom Viginettes for Christmas

Are you done decorating yet for the holidays? It seems like I have been working on this forever. I don't do a lot of decorating, but I do like to put a little something in each room to remind me of the holidays. The bedroom is no different.

Our master bedroom is very small and dark, so it doesn't take much to give it a holiday feel. I began with a Poinsettia and a few holiday boxes that I keep decorations in.

I put them by the side of the bed where I would be sure to see them every day. A little color can make such a big difference in a dark room.

Even my statue of Athena gets a holiday bird on her shoulder, and a few mercury Christmas ornaments to help her shine. The jewelry organizer was one of my DIY projects, if you would like to see how I made it click here.

Those little red birds just make me laugh, if you haven't seen my holiday display on our living room mantle click here.

The bed gets a dress up with a simple wreath from the thrift store, a few burlap pillows that I made, and a green wool throw.

The pillows were easy to make, just burlap, fabric paint and stencils.

The other dresser gets a vintage swag of kitties, a bow, and some deep green candles. I love candles, you can never have too many of them. I organize all my beauty supplies on little trays. I use a flower frog to hold my make up brushes. The basket in the corner holds a hair dryer and a curling iron. Not that I ever use them, but in a pinch, they are handy.

Look for my holiday house tour, coming soon!
