Anything Goes Week 4

Ever wonder why you do the things you do sometimes? Ever wonder why someone else does them? Do you wonder why I am giving away some of my most cherished home school books?

Just because.

Because, we love home schooling and I want you to love it as much as we do. Because, even if you don't ever home school your child, you can still teach them to love learning and reading.

Because it's better to give than receive.

Because if you were my next door neighbor, I would invite you over to my house for coffee and we would chat about books. Then we would start pulling them off the shelves and discuss how junior did better with this one than that one, and before you know it, we would be the best of friends. Then we would each order different books, and we would have more coffee and bring them over to share with each other the minute they came in the mail. Then, our kids would be swapping stories left and right because they just couldn't read them fast enough, and life would be absolute heaven.

But, since everyone can't live next door, and not everyone has someone in their life to inspire them to even attempt to home school or attempt to inspire their kids to become incredible readers, this give away is the next best thing.

So, my winner from last week is Amy Maze from Living and Learning at Home. Amy was my only applicant for last week's give away. Congrats Amy! The rest of you missed out! The good news is there is still more to give away! Much more! All it takes is a comment to enter!

This week's give away is math! Math, Math, and more math! We have a few of our favorite math books:

Sir Cumference and the Great Knight of Angle Land By Cindy Neuschwander

What's Your Angle Pythagoras? By Julie Ellis

Math U See Algebra 1 Test Book By Steve Demme

We started reading about advanced math concepts long before the kids were able to actual do higher level math. The tale of Sir Cumference is an adorable story with Prince Radius who rides off with only a family medallion on a quest to become a Knight. He encounters dragons, castles, and mazes that will captivate any child. The artwork is beautiful in this book, and it's such a clever story.

What's Your Angle Pythagoras? Also has beautiful art, and is another wonderful story. Mischevious Pythagoras is always getting into trouble, much to his Greek family's dislike. This adventure finds him discovering the formula for a triangle. Who can forget a tale such as this?

Last but not least we have this Algebra 1 test book from Math U See. Now, you might be thinking that your child is not ready for Algebra yet. Or maybe you haven't tried MUS before, and are a little unsure what to expect. Even if your child isn't old enough, you will be surprised how soon they grow up. We love MUS, and this could be your chance to give it a try! You could use it as a summer supplement, or you could even give it to someone else who needs it! The sky is the limit here. Anything goes, right?

This book is brand new, never used. Our youngest son uses the workbooks that his brothers didn't need, every once in a while we end up with one that was never touched. I can't bear to give this to the thrift store, they are expensive! Hope someone out there can use these! Pass this give away on to your friends!

Don't forget to register by leaving me a comment. Check back tomorrow, I will be linking up another Home school post to Living and Learning at Home. Have a great day!
