Kids Bowl Free

Hi there!
We are on week 11 today, only one more to go!

Where has the summer gone?

Today is the day I have been dreading for the last 18 years. Today is the day that our children begin to leave home. How can you not be a little bit sad? Even though the future is so bright for them, their readiness to leave means they no longer depend on us. Whaaaaa! *Sniff, Sniff* Our oldest son left on a jet for college this morning to a far away place. We will miss him very much.

Remembering the wonderful times we have had in our home schooling brings me to many memories of bowling. Yes, bowling.

Our kids grew up in Green Bay, Wi.  Green Bay is home of the Kids Bowl Free program.  The way it works is you hop on over to Kids Bowl Free, find a bowling alley near you and register for the coupons. Then each week you receive email coupons for
2 free bowling games PER DAY all summer long.
How awesome is that?

I must tell you that some bowling alleys charge for the use of the bowling shoes, which may cost you a couple of dollars per bowler. But, how many things can you do today for $2.00? Not many.

The great thing is you can take all your kids along. The coupons are valid for ages 16 and younger, and there are still two weeks left to bowl.

Make a standing weekly bowling date with your friends. The bowling alleys are empty during the day, a perfect place to cool off from the summer heat on a hot day. This has been part of our summer fun Bucket List for a long time. It's great exercise, includes math, and definitely counts for socialization!

Mom's love it too!

See you next week for our last summer adventure!

  1. My son has asked many times to go bowling. We really need to take him, but honestly we are pretty boring and stay home most of the time =) Well, we go to lots of parks and things...oh I guess we're not that boring, but we haven't done bowling yet!
