Travel-Inspired Decor

Hello friends in blog-land! There are lots of exciting things happening in my neck of the woods this week, today I am featuring a new board that I have been asked to curate on Hometalk

Who doesn't love to travel? If you love it like most people, you will want to bring a little piece of vacation home with you. Here are some ideas on how to incorporate your travels into your home decor!

Ready? Here we go:

Robin at All Things Heart and Home made this beautiful wreath out of sea glass. What a great idea! Pick up the glass on the beach to make a wreath when you get home. You can also purchase sea glass in colors to match your interiors if you aren't near the beach right now!

Art is Beauty decorated this beautiful vintage trunk with French inspired lettering. Love, LOVE, LOVE! Can't wait to try this out! Teal is so popular right now!

Marty Walden over at Marty's Musings framed a map she found at a garage sale. I love how she displays her photo albums in a basket on the table underneath. Great idea for vacation mementos! Bring home a map, and leave your photo albums out to share your travels with people. How much better than keeping them hidden away?

I recently decorated an old trunk with Vintage Hotel Labels from my Great Grandfather's collection. He traveled the world, and now we can enjoy his collection every day. Click on the link for the how to!

One of my favorite projects is the DIY Vintage Post Card Table that I made with another family collection of post cards. Check out the tutorial for this easy do it yourself project. I keep this table beside our bed, I love reading Grandpa's postcard notes to family members before drifting off to sleep!

Be sure and check out the Hometalk Travel-Inspired Decor Board for more updates!

Speaking of travel, today is the first day of the Creative at Home Blog Tour!

Here's today's line up:
