31 Days of Cleansing: Day 12 DIY Floating Candles

I posted on Aromatherapy the other day, and I wasn't going to post more on it. However, I found the greatest little thing at the store and I just had to share.

I got these at Hobby Lobby. Don't you just love that place? I could wander around in there for hours. This little kit turns any glass, bowl or bottle into a floating candle.

For the cost of the kit, $1.99, you get 100 little wicks and 3 clear plastic floats.  The candles use regular vegetable oil as a fuel source. How cool is that? I also added a couple drops of rose essential oil for fragrance.

I used some clear little glass bowls to try it out. They were really easy to put together. Simply insert a wick into the disk and float it on the water. I was amazed how little oil it used, just a few drops burned for almost an hour. I did have one disk that I put too much oil on and the wick got wet, but otherwise, these are the neatest thing!

They would be great decorations on tables at weddings, luncheons or any special occasion. As the vegetable oil heats up the essential oil fragrance is released into the room. Love it!
